In times of old the sky was dark, the land a spread of water. Nothing grew and nothing lived. It was a land before time. It was cloudy, but it would not be fair to say there were many clouds in the sky, for without a distinction of the land, their really is no sky. As for the sun, the light seemed to eminate from all directions. Without anything defined there was no specific ball of light and heat. It was a time of peace and bliss.

But of course, nothing exists in a vacume. Surrounding the mass of nothing lived four siblings. The four of them pranced through the sky in harmony. Or as close to harmony as it could get. They would of course have their bickers now and then. Each of the four always wanted to prove to the others that they were the best. But to them, this was perfectly natural. After all, they were siblings, wasn't it natural to be always at eachother's throughts. But at the end of the day they loved each other. And when the time came they would all huddle up and sleep side by side.

The four equine siblings flew around on the wings that they stretched across the sky. First was Flame, his black pelt almost blended into the darkness, it would seem slightly ironic that the one that blended so well into the night could bring about light. Yes, they stallion could control fire. Then there was the second brother, his name was Mineral. He could control the minerals that formed ground and such. his pelt was a glistening brown color. Then came the two fair siblings. First was Cloud. her coat was purest white and she could control the air the four equines flew across. And lastly was the palimino beauty of water. Myst's golden white mane cascaded down her back like the water that she ruled.

Like always the four equines spent their time trying to prove to each other that they were indeed the stronger of the four. All of them putting on fabulous shows with their elements. Mineral pulled together masses of minerals and formed it into a large sphere. To put a stamp on it as well Myst and her frisky attitude covered a good portion of his creation with water. Of course, Flame could not be left out of this antic, bursting his fire foward he created stars and with it light. Of course, this left only Cloud who created a larger sphere to appear around the ball of matter and it's surrounding stars protecting it. Now, their was a planet. It floated in space.

This amused the siblings for quite some time. But there was only so much that they could do to make it better. It had been formed into a great environment. One that the four siblings longed to live in. But they knew that their place was in the sky. The four siblings worked together, combining their powers to create beings that walked the earth, flew its skies, and swam in its waters. This satisfied them for a while, but eventually it to bothered them. So they made the horse. Almost identicle to them in image, but they lacked wings or the ability to control any element. The placed them on the earth and then left them to peace.

The first horses knew of the four great beasts that lived amoung the stars. As time went on they faded to myths and memories. But their was one thing that always made them sure that the four flying equines were still watching over them. The light on top of the tallest mountain. It never went out, not even on the darkest of nights. And so they all lived in harmony. They had their disagreements. Each of the four siblings had their own group of followers, but as they gazed into the the light, they were sure that the four loved together in harmony, and so their earth bretheran did as well.

But the light flickered. Was it a warning? A message from the great powers? It seems the light might vanish? Will peace vanquish alonw with it?
