Rules

Out of Character:

  • Cursing is allowed. Please don't go insane with this though. Please try to refrain from cursing AT other players.
  • I dOn'T wAnT tO sEe AnY oF tHiS..... its just plain anoying. Just no, capitols are for proper nouns and the beggining of sentences, not to make your posts look cool.
  • Please don't used chat speak. If your talking out of character you can get by with a little. I'll let you use "lol" and "g2g" but if you can I would appretiatte ou typing it out. It really isn't that hard. I get it in the c-box though. But I will have NONE of this l8er..... okay, the number 8 is not a letter, it is a number. I know people do this, and I am not saying that I hate people that do, because I don't. Personally I am not a fan of it and I would like to keep this forum looking cleaner.
  • Please repect your fellow members as well as staff. Some people just don't get along, but try to be sensitive, we all have feelings. We all know people have their bad days, but please be nice to your fellow members. Staff, without saying this goes for you to. In character obviously there can be fighting.

Roleplaying:

  • his is a literate roleplay, that is intermidiate to advance. If you are new to roleplaying then why don't you ask one of us staff memers for help. None of us are going to bite your head off. If you like the idea but haven't done it before, then just send us a pm. We'll help you and then you'll be ready to have a blast, not only on this forum, but anyother you happen to come across. As well, if your not new to roleplaying but would just like a little help with anything you can do the same. We may not be the best roleplayers in the world, but we will do what we can to help you.
  • No one liners. Look at your post and say, "Is this really enough?" because a onle liner sounds like it refers to legnth alone, but that is not true. I don't care if your post is ten lines long, it still might be a one liner.

    Example:
Liz opened her moth and began to speak, "He really isn't that bad. I knw, he si no angel, but he isn't a devil either. He might be a little rambunctious but he has a good heart. He might seem like a devious little fellow, he just has a lot of energy. He is a four year old thoroughtbred stallion, what more can you expect from him."

That is a six line post, but I don't want to see it. It IS a one liner. There is one thing happening. One dialogue or one thought. It doesn't matter. We want to see more then t
  • We all understand writters block. Just say ((Writters block)) at the beggining or end of your post and we will all understand. But we DON'T wasn't to see you doing that everytime.
  • NO GODMODDING!!!!!! I just don't want to see it. Nobody is perfect, so neither is your character. Nobody does the right thing all the time, no matter how hard they try.
  • NO POWERPLAYING!!! You can not control someone elses chartacter. It just gets anoying if someone else controls the character you put so much effort into.

    Example:
Jerry drew back his fist and punched Eric in the face and threw in flying across the room, knocking out several teeth in the process.

    This is wrong........

The right way to do that.

Jerry drew back his fist aiming for Eric's jaw. His aim was to send his fellow flying across the room. Though truth be told, he wouldn't mind knocking out several teeth while he was at it.

I know it might be fun to do that, but just don't.... Also please, your character can't deflect everything. If two characters end of in a fight one of them isn't going to come out without a scratch.

Characters:

  • Nobody is perfect, so please make your charater have flaws. Now, you don't have to go completely over board and have your character suck at everytthing, because that is also annoying. But they can't be indestructable or anything.
  • Please be as decriptive as possible in your application. This is how we can judge your roleplaying ability.
  • Please try looking at a couple of the other applicaitons. All the characters on the site can't be seventeen hand thoroughbred stallions. It just doesn't work like that.
  • You must be accepted before roleplaying.

Fighting:

  • Staff members judge fights. They will be judged mainly of literacy, but this does not mean that if you take for ever to write a really long post that you will be delcared the winner. Not that I am discouraging this, but it still does have to be fair. It will also be judged on creativity, and we will take the horses stats into account. A younger, smaller horse can win, but it is harder for it to happen.
  • Don't get all agrivated if you don't win. Just take a deep breath and get over it. It does not neccicerilly mean that we think the other person is a better roleplayer or what not. It could be the way it fits into the plot of the site, or maybe we just think it is your turn to lose a fight. You can't win all the time. If you want to know why simply pm the staff member that judged the fight. Just me nice about it.
  • Mares and stallions may fight each other, but stallions do have an edge, this does not mean that they will win. Foals can fight each other and they can fight a stallion, but they will most likly lose, same thing if they challenge a mare.
  • You can fight for mares, land, foals, or a position in a herd. Or for the fun of fighting.
  • No killing somebodies character without permision from them and notifying an admin. You may kill your own character, but please send a staff member a pm to make it easier for us to keep track of everything.

Stallions:

  • Stallions may unclaimed land or challenge a stallion that currently resides there.
  • Stallions may claim mares. They can force claim, but if the player of the mare has a problem with it you MUST bring it up with the admin. Even if the equine world might be rather sexist, this site is not and both players have an equal say in the matter or it wouldn't be much fun.
  • May force breed, but it is only forcebreeding in character, you can't just decide this without talking to the person who plays the mare.

Mares:

  • May start a herd of only mares, but I don't want to see five of these. Limit it to one for now please, unless we get a lot more members. In a normal herd they do come second to the lead stallion.
  • May fight against being claimed or bred.
  • May claim an abandoned foal.

Foals:

  • May fight with each other. They may challenge a stallion or mare, but they will almost certinly lose.
  • They are foals through the age of three
  • May age as quickly as the person who plays them wants them to. But within reason. They can't be born and all of a sudden be four. Also they can't have just been born for a year in game time, because that just doesn't make sence. But there is no set time frame, but it has to move to at least make sence for us to roleplay with.

Breeding and Foaling

  • You may do graphic, but please put a clear [X] in your title if you are. Both players must agree to do graphic breeding. I would prefer you keep it to a minimum. But some people like to, so it is their choice. Please do not preasure anybody into doing graphic breeding. If it is okay with both sides one may post graphic and the other not, it doesn't matter to me.
  • A staff member decides the stats, but either parent may send a pm to the staff saying that there was a trait that they wanted to foal to have. Say a certian marking, or what ever. They may ask for the foal to reach a certain height or what ever, but this might not actually happen. It will certinly be taken into account though.
  • Either parent or a third part may play the foal.

These rules may ve changed at any time.
